Tri-Circle-D Ranch at Walt Disney World

We just LOVE the horses and ponies at Tri-Circle-D Ranch at Walt Disney World’s Ft. Wilderness Resort, so on Christmas Eve I treated my boys to a visit! 🐴

After exploring the beautiful stable, my middle son enjoyed a ride on a handsome black pony named Vader, and my oldest son befriended an elegant horse named Riley. It made for a perfect afternoon outing and thoughtful experience gift.

Are you familiar with Disney’s Tri-Circle-D Ranch? The ranch is home to some of WDW’s most exquisite creatures like the Royal Ponies that pull Cinderella’s carriage, and the regal steeds that carry our favorite princesses in the parks. The stables are open daily for visits, and pony and horse rides are available. 🐴

Want to go for a ride? Pony riders must be at least 2 years of age, under 80 pounds, no taller than 48 inches, and able to hang on by themselves. A parent or guardian must lead the pony at all times. They may take one or two laps around a lovely path adjacent to the stable. Guests ages 9 and up can sign up for full 45-minute horseback trail ride. Kiddos like my oldest son who are under 9, but too big for a pony, may be offered to ride a horse for a lap around the pony path.

The cost for this? It starts at a very reasonable $8 for one lap on a pony. And the price of a 45-minute horseback trail ride is $55. I paid for two pony laps and two horse laps, and my total was $36. Absolutely worth it.
